You will need:
- Your social security number
- Your filing status
- The exact amount of the refund you are expecting.

Amended returns take 3 weeks to be received and entered into the IRS system. After that it can take up to 16 weeks to process. If after 16 weeks, you don’t see progress, you can contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040
